Contrary to popular opinion most burglaries actually take place in the day!
Statistically 65% of burglaries take place between 6.00am – 6.00pm with the most common hours between 10.00am – 3.00pm
Convicted burglars have said that they were put off targeting a home if:
It had a security system (this influenced their decision to target another home instead)
A security camera is outside of the home (not only does this deter potential intruders in the first place but it also means that you’ll have footage of the burglar should they attempt to target the property)
There is good outside lighting (one that activates when it senses movement will draw attention to anyone that is trying to get into your home and make them think twice about targeting the property)
